Studio Policies & Requirements

Policies: News and Updates

I.D. Requirements

Everyone getting pierced or receiving jewelry installation / removal services is required to have a state or federally issued photo I.D. that is not expired. This must be a physical card (no copies) and be presented at each visit with our studio. It is illegal to copy military IDs therefore we cannot accept them as identification for your release form. School ID's and prison ID's are not acceptable forms of ID.

The only exception to this is for minor earlobes (see below).

Who Can Be In the Piercing Room?

One person is allowed in the piercing room with the client getting pierced. Individuals watching the piercing must be 18 years or older, have valid I.D. and sign the request to accompany release. For minor piercings, the parent / legal guardian who signs for the piercing is required to be in the room.

COVID UPDATE: Due to the pandemic we are only allowed to have the client in the piercing room, no guests.

Minor Requirements

Minors (under 18) are required to have the following documentation to be pierced or receive jewelry installation/removal services.

  • State or Federally Issued Photo I.D. for Minor

  • Birth Certificate or custody papers

  • Parent / Legal Guardian with State or Federally Issued Photo I.D.

The parent that is signing for you must be listed on your Birth Certificate. If your legal guardian is not on your Birth Certificate, we require the original court paperwork assigning custody.

Age Restrictions

We can pierce earlobes as soon as your little one turns 6 years old. We require the minor's Birth Certificate and the parent / legal guardian's I.D. If the legal guardian is not listed on the Birth Certificate, we require the original court paperwork assigning custody.

For all other body piercings, minors must be at least 14 years old and bring in all items listed under the section "Minor Requirements."

We do not perform tongue, nipple, genital or surface piercings on minors.
